With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVerne Stroud (Johnston City, Illinois), born in Pittsburg, Illinois, who passed away on February 27, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Allen and Velma Allen (Edwards); her spouse Dale Stroud; her sister-in-law Noel (Adeline Allen); and her son-in-law Gary Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Genetti (Bill) of Chatham, Steve Stroud (Vicki) of Cape Girardeau, MO and Jane Clark of Marion; her grandchildren, Polly Marchizza (Joe), Jonathan Fletcher, Courtney Clark (Paul Price), Stephaney Odle (John), Keven Stroud (Traci), Brian Clark (Amanda), Michelle Maple and Katie Scheffler (Nathan); and her brother Lyndell Allen (Wilma). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lake Creek Cemetery Association.
