He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Skiles and Hazel Skiles (Smith); his sons, Chuck Holmes and Brian Holmes; and his brother Jimmie Skiles.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Bailey Needham (Glen), Ethan Holmes (Sara), Evan Holmes and Megan Holmes (Christian Hart); his great grandchildren, Meiah and Cloe Needham; his nieces, Marilyn Hollis (Buddy), Kami Welch (Darrel), Lana Rustenberg (Tony) and Karen Hooker; his nephew Steve Skiles (Deanna); his sister-in-law Jeanie Hill (Bill); his friends, Dick Hawk, Mike Ricketts, Larry Surgalski and Larry Wells; and his cousin Burnell Smith (Judy).
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home (211 W Broadway Blvd, Johnston City, IL 62951). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
