She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Avery and Lilly Avery (Lawrence); her husband Warner Smith; her sons, Darryl Smith, Jerrall Smith and Joel Smith; her grandsons, Thomas Eron Smith and Dennis Ray Smith; her siblings, Lavern Avery and Arlie Dean Williams; and her children-in-law, Deon Walker, Dwight Tanner and Bonnie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, David R. "Dick" Smith (Janet) of Johnston City, Stephen M. Smith (Joyce) of Johnston City, Jenell Brookhouse (Charles) of West Frankfort, Geneva Walker of West Frankfort, Janice Parks (William) of Johnston City and Gloria Sears (J. R.) of Marion; and her sisters, Evelyn Mahan and Peggy Brotherton. She is also survived by 41 grandchildren; 105 great grandchildren; 62 great great grandchildren.
