With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janet Lynn Rinkus of Johnston City, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Janet Lynn left this world on April 12, 2025 at the age of 63, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Simmons and Dolores Simmons (Cherepski); her husband Jeffrey Rinkus; her grandson Zachary Bryan; her grandparents, Alex and Birdie Cherepski; and her stepfather Dale Bates.
She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Wilkins (John) and Erin Julian; her siblings, Karen Lenzini and Jamie Simmons; and her grandchildren, Hailey Bryan and Micah Julian. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Funeral Home (213 E Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
