He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Montgomery and Maxine Montgomery (Aduddell); and his wife Nancy R. Grant. He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Caroline Montgomery) and Brett (Linda Montgomery); his grandchildren, Grant Montgomery (Taylor), Marissa Donelson and Allen Montgomery; his great grandchildren, Franklin, Olivia, Briar, Jackie Ruth, Gage and Chase; his brother Dale; his sister-in-law Lavere Montgomery of Marion, IL; his sister Dana; and his siblings-in-law, Danny Vaughn of Herrin, Donna Curry of Ferges, Janice Holloway of Harrisburg, IL, Denise Ryan of Herrin, IL and Maynard Goddard of Benton, IL.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home (2704 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 1500 South 13th Street, Herrin, IL 62948; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
