With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Forrest C. Stapleton (Johnston City, Illinois), born in Ironton, Ohio, who passed away on September 16, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurthur Edward and Dorothy Mae Stapleton (Martin); his wife Carolyn Jo (Herzog); his son Aurthur Edward Stapleton; and his close friend Jerry Meadows.
He is survived by: his children, William Joseph Stapleton (Jessica) of Fairmont, WV, Loretta Lynn Burling (Douglas) of St. Anne, Christina Marie Fox (Tom) of Essex, Forrest Allen Stapleton (Rebecca) of Johnston City and Jamie Nicole Ellis (Clint) of Johnston City; and his sister Freda Meadows of Coal Grove, Ohio.. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
