She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Robert and Dorothy Elizabeth Handley (Quinn); her husband James Briscoe; her son Michael Briscoe; her grandson Trevor Howell; her great grandchild Ashelee Horsley; and her siblings, Roy Handley, Joyce Vaughn, Robert Handley of Ames, IA., Dorris Barksdale and Raymond Handley.
She is survived by: her children, Edie Horsley (Bruce) of Flora, James S. Briscoe of Benton, Eric Briscoe (Rhonda) of Whiteash, Helen Chesser (Tony) of Louisville, KY. and Julie Quinn Bowen (Richard) of Clay City; her grandchildren, Beth Pate, Shane Horsley, Lisa Conner (Jared), Erin Bennett, Molly Minor, Alan Joe Samples Jr. (Andrea) and Ben Briscoe (Annie); her great grandchildren, Kali McKinney (Nick), Lakynn Walker, Dalton Pate (Promise), Dylan and Devin Butler; and her sister Rosemary Christy of Ottumwa, IA. She is also survived by many great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
