He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Phillips and Mary Phillips (Bradshaw); his wife Carol Sue (Kelley); and his siblings, Mina Lou Bowden and Herbert M. Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Kay McClellan of Louisville, KY, Stacy Renee Holloway (Kevin) of Energy and Michael Brent Phillips (Amanda) of Cookeville, TN; his grandchildren, Brooke A. Wachtel (Nathan), Bradley A. McClellan, Haleigh R. Whitehead (Bryson), Hayden R. Holloway, Nathan M. Phillips and Bethany L. Phillips; his great grandchildren, Lauren, Avery and Broderick Wachtel; and his sister Lucille Johnson of Johnston City.
Because of Covid-19, masks and social distancing will be required.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the J City Church First Freewill Baptist of Johnston City.
