It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Lee Sowers of Jewett, Illinois, who passed away on May 23, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Sowers and Goldie Sowers (Miller); his wife Leone Hardy; and his siblings, Dean Sowers, Doris Kingery and Genevia Jones.
He is survived by: his children, David Sowers (Brenda) of Jewett, Illinois, Joyce Pharis (Larry) of Jewett, Illinois, Dwayne Sowers (Donna) of Altamont and Linda Hesler (Steve) of Jewett; his grandchildren, Lindsey Thompson (Anthony), Sherry Kearns (Bill), Kathleen Anderson (John), Sara Rodebaugh (James) and Lacie Baker (Dan); his great grandchildren, Jace Kearns, Jadynn Kearns, Jaxon Kearns, Jalayna Kearns, Kara Anderson, Kessa Anderson, Kaleb Anderson, Dominic Thompson, Kylee Thompson and Miles Baker; and his sister Marge Brummer of Jewett.
In loving memory of Roy, memorials may be made to the Jewett Community Church.
