He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald McGinnis and Collas McGinnis (Matteson); his wife Judith Nash; and his sister Linda Craig. He is survived by: his children, Gerald McGinnis (Linda), Jeff Nash, Brian Brown (Michelle) and Jennifer Epperson; his grandchildren, Nicole Mintum (Joe), Katyln Epperson, Alexander Thomas Robert, Rachel Epperson, Jade Schafer (Josh), Alexander McGinnis and Sara McGinnis; his great grandchild Jessica Thilker; and his siblings, William "Bill" McGinnis (Terry), Joseph "Joe" McGinnis (Anita), Judith Wallace and Kathy Bartels (Roy).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barkley Funeral Chapel (300 N Kentucky St, Greenup, IL 62428). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
