He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Barnes and Calla Barnes (Greeson); his wife Donna Dudley; and his siblings, Ronnie Barnes and Cheryl Barnes.

He is survived by: his sons, Mike Barnes (Donna) of Greenup, IL, Guy Barnes of Greenup, IL and Lonnie Barnes (Teresa) of Greenup, IL; his brother Harold Barnes; his grandchildren, Erica Bueker, Brandon Barnes, Mandy Pfeiffer (Spencer), Levi Barnes, Anthony Barnes, Coty Barnes (Megan), Megan Barnes and Nikki Poe (Zachary); and his great grandchildren, Julian Bueker, Kaitlyn Bueker, Lucas Bueker, Mason Houser, Kyeslynn Barnes, Grace Poe, Allie Barnes, Emelia Poe, Zeq Plunkett and Owen Pfeiffer.
