He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edmiston and Mary Edmiston (Sprowell); his son Virgil Alan Edmiston; and his siblings, Richard Edmiston, Harvey Edmiston, Robert, Charles Lee, Cindy Wyatt Herring and Ada Herring.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Mae Edmiston of Jerseyville; his son Timothy; and his daughter-in-law Mechelle Edmiston of Fidelity. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
