He was predeceased by: his brother Carl Gilman; and his nephew Tony Gilman. He is survived by: his wife DeeDee Gilman (Willis) of Jerseyville; his siblings, Roger Gilman (Barbara) of Hardin, Fred Gilman (Mary) of Michael and Linda King (Larry) of Jerseyville; his siblings-in-law, Jean Gilman of Fieldon and Roger Willis (Jamie) of Mattoon; his close friend Pepper; and his stepdaughter Jennifer Lavite (Joey) of Jerseyville. He is also survived by step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Kane Baptist Church or to the Jerseyville American Legion Post #492.
