Mary Ellen Sauerwein Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2021, at the age of 75, Mary Ellen Sauerwein of Jerseyville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sigmond and Dorothy Mariann Bartlett (Plummer); her sister Judith Tepen; and her parents-in-law, Edwin and Marie Sauerwein.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Sauerwein of Jerseyville; her children, Crystal Sauerwein, Nic Giannoussidis of St. Louis, Stephanie (Jason Smith) and Andrew (Heather Sauerwein); her grandchildren, Kailey, Ashley (Lilly Smith), Whitley (Joe Heitzig), Sydney Sauerwein, Drew Sauerwein, Caty Garris and Jaxton Sauerwein; her great grandchildren, Greyson and Blakely Sue; and also William Carl Bartlett of Nebo. She is also survived by wife, loving mother and grandmother, and took great pride in children and grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Riverbend Humane Society in Jerseyville.
