She is survived by: her daughter Janet (Alan Foster); her son-in-law Timothy Hartley of Royal Lakes; and her grandsons, Christopher Hartley, Rodney and Ethan Foster.

Memorials may be given to Hope Lutheran Church in Jerseyville, were Elke was a loyal and faithful member.
