Dorothy Akers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2019, at the age of 84, Dorothy Akers (Jerseyville, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Timpe Sr. and Katherine Timpe (Hamilton); her spouse Delbert Akers Sr.; her son Robert Eugene Timpe; her brother John Timpe Jr.; and her grandson Billy Jay Akers.
She is survived by: her children, John Timpe III of Indiana, Dorothy Bishop Jr. (David) of Texas, Delbert Akers Jr. (Cheryl) of Godfrey, Billy Joe Akers (Kathy) of Gillespie, Catherine Markham (Paul) of Jerseyville and April Leeann Tucker of Iowa; and her sister Carol Sue Madden of Gillespie. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home.
