He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer E. Hale and Lola Hale (Taylor); and his sister Rubie Mae Trone. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Joan Hetrick; his children, Kirk Hale of Abingdon, Chris Hale (Dee Adcock) of Abingdon and Kathy Johnson (Craig) of Alexis; his brother Lloyd Hale of Rushville; and his grandsons, Justin Hale (Mariel) of Monmouth and Jeremy Hale (Patience Haahn) of Abingdon. He is also survived by three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Don was honored to be selected for the Honor Flight to Washington, DC in the summer of 2017 and in lieu of flowers, donations made to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.
