The passing of Donald Benjamin Alexander of Jerseyville, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 6, 2024 at the age of 17. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandfather Dr. Charles Alexander; and his great-grandparents, Clifford "Basket", Thelma Alexander, Richard, Glenda Prough, John, Theresa Bray, Leo and Thelma Elliott.
He is survived by: his parents, Seth and Julie; his sister Maggie; his grandparents, Don, Nancy Elliott of Jerseyville and Becky Alexander of Grafton; his great-grandparent Frances Bray of Jerseyville; his aunts and uncles, Chad Richards of Grafton, Luke (Tana Alexander), Mary (Garrett Ingram) and Laura (Craig Fallin); and his cousins, Reahn Niswander (Zach), Henry, Leo, Vince Ingram, Arthur, Elliott and Lois Fallin. He is also survived by many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home (1308 IL-109, Jerseyville, IL 62052). Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church (306 N Washington St, Jerseyville, IL 62052). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the St. Francis Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family, in care of Crawford Funeral Home, to assist in the placement of a monument at his gravesite.
