He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marti; his daughters, Jenifer (Ivan) and Amelia Garcia (Johnny); his grandchildren, Dale, Isla, Herbi and Brooks; his stepmother Ann Bartels of Jerseyville, IL; his siblings, Rick (Jody) of Pierre, Brad, Tim Bartels (Beth) of Jerseyville, IL, Lennie Schmidt of O'Fallon, IL, Deana Bowen (Steve) of Hartselle, AL and Linda Tedrick (Charlie) of Hamel, IL; his brother-in-law Mark Cunningham (Sharon) of Warrenton, MO; and his former wife Martha.
