He was predeceased by: his parents, Lytle Hamilton and Esther Hamilton (Pinkerton); his granddaughter Lauren; and his great grandchildren, Brock, Pax and Willa.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Henry; his children, Dale Hamilton (Amy) of Sandwich, IL, David Hamilton (Carrie) of Jerseyville and Alice Lechiara (Anthony) of Wheaton, IL.; his grandchildren, Jodi Burney (Scott), Neal Hamilton (Nicole), Paul Hamilton (Ashleigh), Jeff Hamilton (Karen), Emily Stoklosa (Matt) and Grace Funke (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Ava, Mason, Knox, Merrik, Charleigh, Nora and Miles; and his brother-in-law Jackson Henry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church of Jerseyville.
