He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Harold Maxwell and Mamie Phillips Maxwell; his brothers, Donald, Denny and Richard Maxwell; and his significant other Marilyn Sanders.
He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Shumaker (Terry) and Wayne Maxwell of Diamond Head, MS; and his significant other's daughters, Beth and Sandy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
