She is survived by: her husband Don Rutledge of Jerseyville; her children, Rose Hand of Brighton, Patty Barten (PJ) of Jerseyville, Jim Rutledge (Sherry) of Brighton, Jennifer Maulden (Keith) of O'Fallon and Daryl Randolph (Leah) of Shipman; her grandchildren, Cris (Emilee), Jimmy (Kerri), Jamie, Heather, Jameson, Missy (Kevin), Jessica (Brandon), Shawn, Stephen (Paige), Aaron (Megan), MacKenzie (Ben), Sarah, Pete, Paige, Aiyanna and Noah; her great grandchildren, Alex of Caden, TJ, Kaylee, Holly, Gunner, Asher, Clara, Hadley and Anderson; and her brother John (Brenda Bramley Jr.).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial tributes to be directed to Carolyn's funeral fund to assist with expenses.
