He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Barbara Cox. He is survived by: his siblings, Paul and Joanne Cox (Hicks); his wife Ruby Donetta Butler; his sons, Jason Yates (Melissa), Donald Yates and Collin Yates; and his brothers, David and Richard Cox (Ida). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home (604 Walnut, Greenfield, IL 62044). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
