She was predeceased by: her parents, Merdice Battershell and Kathryn Battershell (Johnson); her husband Leon Jackson; her sister Betty Hamblen; her great grandchild Katlynn Schuering; her niece Kathy Hamblen; and her son-in-law Richard Whelan.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Laburay (Richard) of Godfrey, Judy Miller (David) of Bethalto, Jill Jackson Ramirez of Jerseyville, Jeanne Middleton (Stanley) of Godfrey, Kent Jackson (Linda) of Godfrey, Kevin Jackson (Karen) of Brighton and Keith Jackson (Brandy) of Wood River; and her sister Linda Sue Long of Bethalto. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gent Funeral Home (2409 State St, Alton, IL 62002). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
