It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Belva Haden Clayton (Jerseyville, Illinois), born in Platte, South Dakota, who passed away on June 16, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Holda Marie (Paulson) and Nathaniel Guy Haden; her husband Donald Lee "Jack" Clayton; her siblings, Dwight Haden and Jacquetta Johns; and her son-in-law Charles W. Bowles.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Clayton Bowles of Hadley, Massachusetts, John Michael Clayton (Jeanne) of New Salem, Massachusetts and Ann Clayton Baker (James) of Brighton, Illinois; her grandchildren, Michael Clayton Bowles (Miyuki), Jamie Baker Greeling (Ben), Mattie Marie Baker (Umair Ali) and Christopher Charles Bowles (Kellie); her great grandchildren, Theodore Jones Bowles and Molly Rose Greeling; and her brother Tom Haden of Bloomfield, Illinois. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
