He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin G. Twenhafel and Lorene L. Zerbst Twenhafel; his sister-in-law Sharon Twenhafel; his stepmother Katherine Twenhafel; and his parents-in-law, Vernon and Marjorie Wischmeyer.

He is survived by : his wife Cathy Twenhafel of Jacob; his children, Mike Twenhafel (Angela) of New Baden, IL and Christy Gardner (Jason) of Waterloo, IL; his grandchildren, Blake, Brady Twenhafel, Tripp, Case and Demi Gardner; and his brothers, Glenn Twenhafel (Mary Jo) of Gorham, IL and Roger Twenhafel (Terri) of Murphysboro, IL..
