She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Rathjen and Marie Rathjen (Zerbst); her husband Charles Frederick Vogel; her son Lyle Vogel; and her brother Erwin Rathjen (Freddie).
She is survived by: her children, Larry Vogel of Murphysboro, IL and Connie Mattingly (Charles) of Perryville, MO; her grandchildren, Charles C. Mattingly (Misty), Christina Paisley (Eric), Corinne Vogel (Stephanie) and Benjamin Vogel; her stepgranddaughter Nichole Smelter; her brother Oliver Rathjen of Murphysboro, IL; and her siblings-in-law, Juanita Hollmann (Raymond) of Fairview Heights, IL and Harold Vogel (Ernsting) of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by her nine great grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren, six step-great great grandchildren.
