He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyman Wesley and Mildred McDevitt Oxley; and his sister Donna Rodgers. He is survived by: his children, Sherrie Thompson (Bruce) of Arcadia and Bill Oxley (Debbie) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Alison McGrew (Justin), Sarah Moritz (Justin), Jacob Thompson, Wesley Oxley (Stacey) and Garrett Oxley (Megan); his stepgrandson Kort Williams; his great grandchildren, Payton, Nolan McGrew, Elsie, Eleanor, Maddox, Malin Moritz, Kilyn, Wacey Oxley, Kingston, Kane Kendall, Stella, Tate and Lainey Oxley; and his friend Don Parks.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Williamson Funeral Home (1405 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650).
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Cass/Schuyler Area Hospice.
