He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter H. Fernandes and Abbie Catherine Drake Fernandes; his son Ryan L. Fernandes; and his siblings, Walter, Ed, Stanley, Harold, Robert, Jimmie, Billie, Catherine and Donnie.
He is survived by: his children, Richard K. Fernandes Jr. (Lisa), Rodney L. Fernandes (Lori) and Rene "Missy" Hoots (Michael); his grandchildren, Morgan Howell (Caleb), Madison Schutz (Blane) and Dylan Fernandes (Justine); and his great grandchildren, Stone Rodney Schutz and Avery James Howell.
