He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul D. Byus and Ida M. Jameson Byus; and his siblings, Don "Poochie" Byus, James "Jim" Byus, Garry Byus, Sharlot Byus Muntman and Sandra Moore.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Byus (Deanna) of Leesville and Demaree Lindsey (Jerry) of Ashland; and also William "Billy" Byus (Edith) of Lenox, Missouri.. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
