He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar R. Sr. Freesen and Opal Mae Freesen (Haus); his former wife Alice Albright; his wife Deborah "Deb" Meyer; his son Guy Freesen; his great grandchild Piper Grace Hoefler; and his brothers, David Freesen and Roy Freesen.
He is survived by: his children, Oscar Robert "O. R." Freesen III (Dawn) of Bluffs, Kerry Freesen (Cathy) of Springfield and Charla Stieren (Ted) of Chatham. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (1100 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.
