She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Gilliland and Della Rolfs Gilliland; her son John Robert Barfield, Jr.; her sister Elsie Louise; and her close friend Lawrence Gobbel.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Lynn Jones of Jacksonville, Rocky Lynn Barfield (Penny) of Springfield, Kevin Lynn Barfield (Angie) of Jacksonville and Michelle Rose Fisher (Kenny) of Jacksonville; and her sister Barbara Jean Albrecht (Frank) of Chapin. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
