With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Hannel in Jacksonville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Joyce may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry and Stella Mae Stoneking; her husband William Orvil Hannel; and her daughter Sue. She is survived by: her children, Patty Stinson (late Mike), Anita Glydewell and Lloyd Glydewell (Becky); her brother Billy; and also, John and Emma Stoneking. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Arenzville, or Cass-Schuyler Hospice.
