It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Alene Kaufmann of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Cox and Norma Cox (Lacy); her husband William R. Kaufmann; her daughter Rita Lynn Kaufmann; and her brother Jim Cox.

She is survived by: her children, Paula Peak (Peter) of Jacksonville, Kevin Kaufmann (Pamma) of Jacksonville, Andrew Kaufmann (Brittney) of Winchester and Chad Kaufmann (Penny) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Joshua Peak (Taylor) of Jacksonville, Jonny Peak (Claire) of Jacksonville, Will Peak (Abigail) of Murrayville, Alexa Collingbourne (Austin) of Crown Point, IN, Cassidy Gaudio (James) of Malta, Nick Kaufmann (Madison) of Munster, IN, Olivia McGuire (Sean) of Chatham, Bobby Kaufmann (Daisy) of Jacksonville, Annika Kaufmann of Winchester, Andrew Kaufmann of Murrayville and Adrienne Kaufmann of Winchester; and her brother Jack Cox (Vesta) of Winchester. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the care given their mother by the staff at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing by suggesting memorials to them.
