He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Christian Frederick and Anita Knoll Riemer; his former wife Betty Marie Koss; his wife Judith Lovekamp; his son Timothy Christian Riemer; and his sister Ruth Edgecomb.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Frank Riemer (Laura) of Spring, Deborah Lynette O'Dell (James) of Tulsa and Rebecca Leone Nehrt (Jeffrey) of Greenville; and his siblings, Miriam Pretzer of Thornton, Carol Wardin of Hemlock, Michigan and Richard (Marilyn). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (222 E Beecher Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church and School.
