Eugene Williams Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2024, at the age of 103, Eugene Williams (Jacksonville, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Sr. Williams and Nola Williams (Wilson); his spouse Johnnie Mae Work; his brothers, Avery Williams Jr. and James Williams (Jimmy); his stepbrother Terrance Bates; and his sisters, Mary Williamson, Virginia Ross, Joan McDonald, Coreen Jones, Betty Wiley and Arnell Simongton.
He is survived by: his children, Polly Williams (Reginald) of Jacksonville and John Work (Linda) of Sacramento, California.. He is also survived by loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, along with cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (1100 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Amvets Post 100.
