It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Hammer (Jacksonville, Illinois), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on August 13, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick H. Hammer and Florence Mae Wise Hammer; his former spouse Jackie Kay Elliott; his children, Trenton Elliott of Chester and Nichole Dyer (Ryan) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Caleb, Patience, Alicyn and Kynlee; his niece Maria Martinez (Jerry) of Texas; and his sister Mary Ellen. He was also cherished by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
