We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2023, at the age of 81, Carole Mae Hack of Jacksonville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Silvis and Mae Silvis (McColly); her former husband Pete Foersterling; her husband Rolf Hack; and her sister Martha Ann Templin.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Foersterling of Brookline, MA, Jessica Hack of Baden Baden, Philip Templin (Linda) of Centennial, CO and Erik R. Hack (Jennifer) of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, Hannah Templin of Northglenn, CO and Lance Templin of Belgrade, ME; her sisters, Helen Silvis-Miller (Dennis) of Weyers Cave, VA and Kathryn Surbeck (David) of White Hall; her aunt Kitty Jo Hellman of Latrobe, PA; and her close friend Charles "Charley" Frank of Jacksonville. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and a nephew.
Memorial donations in memory of Carole are suggested to the Jacksonville Art Association, WUIS Public Radio, or WILL Public TV.
