Caren Waltrip-Sexton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caren Waltrip-Sexton of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on November 26, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Waltrip and Ruth A. Waltrip (Weller); her husband David Sexton; and her brothers, Charles Earl Waltrip and William Timothy Waltrip.

She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Waltrip (Rachel) of Bethalto and Joshua Sexton of Jacksonville; her stepdaughter Heather Williams of Springfield; her grandchildren, Jayce Sexton, Korbin Waltrip, Sage Waltrip, Fiona Waltrip, Dylan Furkin, Parker Furkin, Mia Williams and Ava Williams; her brothers, Steve Waltrip (JoEllen) of Punta Gorda, FL and David Waltrip (Tara) of Weldon Spring, MO; and her uncle Gale Waltrip (Bonnie) of Jacksonville. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Morgan County Garden Club, the Marine Corps League of West Central Illinois, or the Prairie Land Heritage Museum.
