It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill W. Stoner of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Bill's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Stoner and Alice M. Stoner (Burt); and his sisters, Joan, Janet and Joyce.
He is survived by: his brother Gene Stoner (Carolyn) of Ivesdale; and also, Barbara Richardson of Green Bay, WI and Mary Drummond of Mishawaka, IN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (1100 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Woodwreath Cemetery (16284 Old Jacksonville Rd, New Berlin, IL 62670).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
