Though Richard may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Silver Pigg and Lila Mae Ferris (Clutts); and his stepfather Richard Ferris. He is survived by: his son Richard Ferris, Jr. of Highland, Illinois; his grandchildren, Phoenix Ferris of Highland, Illinois and Taylor Jo Ferris of Highland, Illinois; his fiancée Rebecca Endicottt of Iuka; and his siblings, Laura Ferris of Highland, Angela Pigg of Marion, Steve Ferris of Dorsey, Robert Pigg of Marion and Jamie Pigg of Marion, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Highland American Legion Post 439 (1130 New Trenton Rd, Highland, IL 62249-2026).
