She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George Kontos; her son John; her parents, Dan and Diane; her sisters, Catherine Weiss (Alex), Terese Jensen (Sam) and Jennifer Rialla (Walker); her parents-in-law, Sandra and Don Kontos; and her close friend AbbVie (Allstate).

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Raymond de Pentafort Church (301 S I Oka Ave, Mt Prospect, IL 60056).
