With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene O'Connor (Itasca, Illinois), who passed away on January 14, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John; her granddaughter Melissa; and her brother George Willix (Patricia). She is survived by: her sons, Sean (late Robin), Matthew (Diane), Brian and Mark (Jocelyn); her grandchildren, Erin, Shannon, Ryan, Beth, Sayde, Erik, Jordan, Angelina, Mathew John, Mike, Katie, Brittany, Morgan and John; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Liam, Aubrey, Shila Rae, Parker, Miles, Salem and Ivy; her siblings, Richard Willix (Joan), Maureen Gormsen and Mary Kay Howard (late Patrick); and her cousins, Kevin and Joseph Newman.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Oaks Funeral Home (1201 Irving Park Rd, Itasca, IL 60143). A Mass was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Julian Eymard Catholic Church (601 Biesterfield Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007).
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude would be appreciated.
