He was predeceased by: his brother Douglas; and his parents, Paul and Eleanore. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Farnsworth; his children, Erik James Gaspers (Tanya Benham) and Carolyn Michelle Ngugi (Stan Wahinya); his grandchildren, Tysen Wahinya, Trevor James and Marty; and his siblings, Phyllis Heck (Robert), Claudia Hughes (Uwe "Lloyd"), Warren Gaspers (Donna), William Gaspers (Julie), Teressa Eckstrum (Kurt) and Melissa Gaspers-Molthop (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
