He was predeceased by: his parents, John Everett Brookman and Anna Imogene Brookman (Tyler); his wife Donna Lee Smiley; his son Bobby Brookman; and his siblings, Ronnie Brookman, Brenda Sledge and Shirley Mae Brookman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Kwiatkowski (Roger) of Walnut Hill and Shelly Day (Bob) of Centralia; and his grandchildren, Josh Day (Cary) of Centralia, Becca Deomes (Domonic), RJ Kwiatkowski (Sammy) of Centralia, Cassandra Kwiatkowski (Billy Joe Austin) of Cave-In, Jameson Day, Bronwyn Day, Atlas Deomes, Eden Deomes, Todd Kwiatkowski and Beau Kwiatkowski. He is also survived by his family and friends.
