He was predeceased by: his parents, John McFarlin and Anna McFarlin (Whelan); his siblings, John "Jack" and Mary Baroody; and his brother-in-law Lawrence "Larry" Wodrich.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah (Church); his son Todd McFarlin (Regina); his stepchildren, Stephen, Leonard and Brooke Stender; his grandchildren, Kody, Megan, Mason, Lillian and Kalliope; and his sisters, Barbara, Julie Swanson, Gloria Tello (Francisco) and Angela Maki (Russ). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
