He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. and Lillian Droysen (Calbow); his son Jim Droysen; his grandson George Jr.; and his sisters, Dorothy and Shirley.

He is survived by: his children, George Droysen (Jean) and Margaret "Peigi" Droysen; his grandchildren, Eric Droysen (Kim) and Jamie Droysen (Pete Strimel); and his great grandchildren, Nathan, Alissa, Stephanie, Hunter, Ben and Matthew.
