He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Peter Wehrstein and Catherine Muschong; his wife Jeanne Hlava Wehrstein; his siblings, Richard, Donald, James Wehrstein, Francis Meisner and Catherine Cyrzan; and his grandson Nicholas Spadaro.
He is survived by: his children, David Richard Wehrstein (Jana Rose) of Demorest, Georgia, Linda Spadaro (Rick) of Ingleside, Illinois and Jimmy Hlava of Illinois; his grandchildren, Ava, Jakob Wehrstein of Georgia, Jamie Spadaro (Shawn Drelich) of Florida, Jessie Hlava, Haley Sjodin (Matt) and Timmy Hlava of Illinois; his great grandchildren, Joseph, Benjamin, Tyler Spadaro, Nella, Neva Drelich and Evelyn Hlava; and his sister Donna Ott of Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
