He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Russell and Eileen Russell (Young); his wife Jane Skiles; his brother Rodney Russell; and his grandson Cody Russell.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Erika Russell, Ketra Roselieb (Joe), Derek Switzer (Kayla), Levi Russell, Lauren Switzer (Jimmie Koller), Kyle Russell (Jill), Kurt Russell, Nick Russell and Blake Russell; and his great grandchildren, Presley Snyder, Hannah Switzer and Aiden Roselieb.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Vance Cemetery.
