She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie David and Lizzie Prater (Turner); and her siblings, Wilma Haenitsch, Mary Sutton, Helen Hendrix, Goldie Irene Hedrick, Bernice, Cletus Hedrick and Clyde Hedrick.
She is survived by: her husband William Henry "Hank" Akers; her children, Annette Hawkins (Scott Parker) of Industry, Wayne Fawcett (Carol Gemmings) of Industry, Sandra Fischel of Roodhouse, Kimberly June Friedhoff (Greg) of Clayton, Roger Akers (Rebecca) of Littleton and Jeff Akers of Laurie; and her brother Larry Guthrie of Macomb. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
